Accommodation
There are five main accommodation options for international students:
- Living in University halls of residence
- Living in other (usually private) student hostels
- Living in private rented accommodation, either with other students or non-students
- Living with a family, in Homestay accommodation
- Living with your own family or friends
Halls of Residence
These are usually close to the University campus. They are self-catering and usually have laundry and telephone facilities on site. Some halls are single sex halls and others can be mixed.
Hostels
Hostels are similar to university halls of residences, but run Independently. Many international students choose this type of accommodation because it can be a great way to meet a variety of students from around the World. Some hostels have accommodation for students with dependants, some have en-suite rooms, some have specially adapted rooms for disabled students.
Privately Rented Accommodation
These can be anything from self contained single room flats to shared houses.
